In many events, an opening song is a great way to capture the guests’ attention and get them to settle down. In the video below, I opened the program with a jazz rendition of Rey Valera’s classic, “Kahit Maputi na Ang Buhok Ko.” Immediately after the song, I smoothly transition to my introductory spiels.
In this next video, I sang a song from the movie hit, “The Greatest Showman”, before doing spiels as a host.
Games are a useful tool to keep guests entertained. Games can be done prior to starting the program, while the guests are waiting for the couple. Games can also be done within the program as transitions or icebreakers for segments, such as in between speeches. The TRIVIA GAME, as shown in the video below, is one of the top choices for events.
I like my opening spiels to be fun and lively, but it has to be sensible and agreeable as well. My introduction should be something that is relatable to the audience. Medium of speaking can either be English, Tagalog, Taglish, and Visayan, depending on the preference of the client and the needs of the audience.
Events, most of the time, need Voice Over services. As host, I can also do the Voice Over needs of the occasion. Videos below are examples of how I sound when doing VOs:
